Polaroid director Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play remake has snagged itself not only a new teaser poster but a release date as well! Yes, it turns out that this remake is heading our way in June of 2019!
And from the looks of the new teaser poster, this remake isn’t going with the original’s “Good Guy” doll and is instead calling Chucky’s official brand “Buddi” with a wi-fi symbol. Whatever, it works.
Aubrey Plaza (“Parks & Recreation”), Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out), and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”) star. The script is written by Tyler Burton Smith. Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg (Stephen King’s IT) produce. Production on the film is currently under way in Vancouver, Canada.
Child’s Play stalks and slashes into your local multiplex come June 21, 2019.
Child’s Play follows a mother (Plaza) who gives her son (Bateman) a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature.
