New Trailer for Bird Box Released in Advance of Film’s Limited Theatrical Engagements

We’re still not sure how much horror will be included in Netflix’s upcoming Bird Box, but it does seem to be a suspenseful film the genre crowd will want to check out. It’s heading to Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and London for a limited theatrical run starting December 13th in advance of hitting the streaming service a week later, which means a new trailer has arrived! Following its global debut on Netflix on December 21st, Bird Box will have an expanded theatrical release in additional theaters in the U.S. and throughout Europe. Will your city be included? Stay tuned!

Bird Box is directed by Susanne Bier and written by Eric Heisserer; the film’s producers include Dylan Clark, Chris Morgan, and Clayton Townsend. Sandra Bullock, Trevante Rhodes, Jacki Weaver, Rosa Salazar, Danielle Macdonald, Lil Rel Howery, Tom Hollander, Colson Baker, and BD Wong star with Sarah Paulson and John Malkovich.

Synopsis:
When a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, only one thing is certain: If you see it, you take your life. Facing the unknown, Malorie (Bullock) finds love, hope, and a new beginning… only for it to unravel. Now she must flee with her two children down a treacherous river to the one place left that may offer sanctuary. But to survive, they’ll have to undertake the perilous two-day journey blindfolded.
