Rest in Peace: Dick Miller

Dick Miller… if you’re a horror fan, then you definitely know his name. If you’re a fan of film in general, there’s a good portion of you who know him as “that guy’s who’s in everything.” However you identify him, one thing is certain… he was a legend, and we’re sad to announce that he’s no longer with us.

Over the past sixty years, character actor Miller was featured in 182 movies including A Bucket of Blood, Gremlins, The Terminator, The Burbs, The Howling, Night of the Creeps, Piranha, Rock ‘n’ Roll High School… the list goes on and on. He even had a documentary made about him, That Guy Dick Miller.  His final film appearance is in Eben McGarr’s yet to be released slasher flick Hanukkah, in which he plays Rabbi Walter Paisley opposite our own Joe Knetter.

Miller, who was 90, is survived by his wife Lainie, daughter Barbara, and granddaughter Autumn.

We here at Brainwaves would like to take this time to extend our deepest sympathies to Dick’s family, friends, and constituents. Thank you so very much, sir, for all of the wonderful memories; you will be missed but will live on in the hearts of fans and on the screen for eons to come. Godspeed.
