Rest in Peace: Pasquale Buba

If you’re not a longtime George Romero fan, the name Pasquale Buba may not jump out at you, but it should. Even if you’re slightly familiar with Romero’s films, then you’re more than well acquainted with his editor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pasquale Buba has passed on at the all-too young age of just 72.

Buba worked on many projects during his years as an editor, including big Hollywood blockbusters Heat starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro and Striking Distance starring Bruce Willis; but horror fans will best remember him for his epic collaborations with the master himself on Dawn of the Dead, Knightriders, Day of the Dead, The Dark Half, Two Evil Eyes, Creepshow, and so on! To say he will be missed is an understatement.

We here at Brainwaves Horror and Paranormal would like to take this time to offer our sincerest of condolences to Buba’s friends, family members, and constituents. Godspeed, sir, and thank you for all that you gave and for helping to create memories that will last for generations to come.
