You may recall that a third season of MTV’s “Scream” series was announced way back in October of 2016, but fans haven’t exactly been clamoring for its debut. Nonetheless, it’s about to arrive… finally, and we have the details on when and where you’ll be able to watch the newly retitled “Scream: Resurrection.”
Per EW, the six-episode series will air over three nights on VH1 this summer. Here’s what we know so far:
“Scream’s” third season will center on high school football star Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler; “Black Lightning,” “Swamp Thing”) as his tragic past comes back to haunt him and possibly ruin his bright future. Other new cast members joining the fray include Keke Palmer (“Scream Queens”), Tyga, CJ Wallace, “Teen Wolf’s” Tyler Posey, and Mary J. Blige. The new teaser (below) shows that Paris Jackson will make a cameo appearance.
Brett Matthews is the new showrunner, and Queen Latifah in an executive producer. Even better? The show is now finally able to use the iconic original design of the Ghostface mask.
“Scream: Resurrection” will air two episodes a night from July 8th-10th, starting at 9 pm ET.
